Bio

Born James Oney Jr. in a humid city called Panama City, Fl. James was blessed to be born into a musical family where he started playing the drums at the tender age of three. His parents always encourage him to use the gifts that God has instilled in him. Through life, James never considered himself a hard knock; but rather a hard head. Although James’ parents taught him the Word of God and they themselves never strayed away from the TRUTH, he traveled his own path. In high school James began to notice the gift of poetry/writing. He began to craft his art and joined a local rap group called NuBreed; better known as Nocturnal. For the first time, James saw how lust and greed could grab and choke the life out of you. He began to experience a series of events that would ultimately lead him to salvation. In April 2001 James surrendered his life to the Lord. That day began a whole new chapter in his life.

After his conversion James began to be discipled by a young lady named Jenifer Fields who took him and showed him how to grow in the faith. This is one of the reasons why he is so passionate about making disciples. As time progressed James began to discern a calling on his life. In 2002 God called him into the ministry as a Youth Pastor. James has been serving in this capacity for seven years.
James’ desire and passion is for Christians is to live as Christians. He hates to see the church playing church. He believes one of the reasons why people don’t come to the faith is because of Christians not wanting to conform to the standards of Christ.
James is married with two sons, Caleb and Israel.

THE LAW!!!

Romans 7:1-6

Focal verse [2]

“For the woman which hath a husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.”

First and foremost I would like to say, Please Do Not Seek To Kill Your Spouses!!! (Laughter) This article is to show you the awesomeness of our Father.

Let’s first get the preliminaries out of the way.

The phrase…“Until death do us part . . .” “is a reality statement of marriage. In the midst of the teary happiness of the wedding vows, reality enters in. This covenant will be broken by death.” The Complete Book of Everyday Christianity

Under the Roman Law polygamy and polyandry were forbidden. To marry another while one’s spouse was still living and without a legal divorce was adultery. So, the greatest Covenant we have is marriage. Why? Because marriage is a permanent union which in general is broken only by the death of one of the partners. Therefore, only death breaks the Marital Union.

Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins for two reasons – to redeem us, and to fulfill the law (covenant). Allow me to enlighten you. When God cuts covenant it is until death do you part. So, the covenant God cut with Abraham could not stop. It was an everlasting covenant. The only way to break it is if God dies since God was the one who cut covenant with him or in better terms, made a promise to Abraham. The thing is, God cannot die.

Let’s understand more. Jesus was Word in the flesh. The Old Covenant or (Law) was in Christ. In Matthew 5:17 Jesus states that he did not come to destroy the Law, but to fulfill. Jesus Christ was the Old Covenant personified [made flesh]. When Jesus died on Calvary’s Cross He was the ultimate sacrifice and atonement for our sins. Why did Christ die? So God can release Himself from that Old Covenant. Jesus said this blood represents the new covenant. But why would God want to do this. Simple, in order to free us from the Law; During the Old Covenant we were bound by the Law; in order for us to be loosed from that law and to have a relationship with God, Jesus Christ had to die.

That is so awesome. God is truly Sovereign and Holy. He is in control of everything.

You know, before we accepted Christ the Law revealed sin to us; now that we are Christians the Holy Spirit reveals sin to us.

Be Blessed
